Fr. Edward (Eddie) Siebert, S.J. is the founder and president of Loyola Productions, Inc. in Los Angeles, which has built a reputation over 20 years for telling stories around the globe that inform, inspire, and entertain.
Siebert’s extensive experience both in secular and Catholic circles includes everything from newsroom stints at WDIV NBC Detroit, WWL CBS New Orleans, to exclusively chronicling Pope Francis in Rome, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. He started in Los Angeles working on the critically acclaimed ABC/20 Century Fox television show, NOTHING SACRED which won the Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Siebert was technical advisor for the MGM/Frank Mancuso, Jr. production Stigmata, starring Gabriel Byrne and Patricia Arquette. He has consulted for The West Wing, The Sopranos, Jane the Virgin and other major television and film productions. Known to New York Times readers as The Jesuit in Hollywood, Siebert completed the documentary film, BLOOD OF THE MARTYRS which tells the story of the Jesuits and women killed in El Salvador at the UCA in 1989. He wrote and directed the award-winning short films AT LAST GOODBYE and OUT OF TRUST. He was Executive Producer on The REAL DEAL and the apocalyptic web-series 40. Currently, Siebert is a producer on the Sony Screen Gems feature film, THE POPE’S EXORCIST.
Siebert received an MFA in film production from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television. He also holds master’s degrees from the University of San Francisco and the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Siebert is a Senior Lecturer for the school of film and television at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA, and in his spare time takes care of “Buster” the University therapy dog.
